36: Ignoring Him

After the debacle in the restrooms, I was eager to keep my head up and focus on only the things that mattered—my studies and my reputation. There was no way on earth that I’d let Kyle derail me from a path I’d worked my ass off to get on, and I was somewhat pleased that I’d finally come back to my senses before things got any more complicated. To drive a reasonable distance between myself and Kyle I’d buried myself in a pile of work and made sure to ignore his texts no matter how frequently they poured in. I’d also gone an extra mile and doubled my tutoring hours so I wouldn't have any free time to waste on him as well. Now, I was seated in the library and surrounded by a mound of papers to grade for the last class I tutored. I’d only successfully gone through about half of the workload
