Kyle’s POV For days on end, Chloe kept up her stone cold act towards me. Each day she ignored me in class, in the hallway, in the dining hall, in the library and anywhere else that we happened to run into each other. I became more clueless and irritable each passing day and I had no one else to blame but my boundless obsession with her—that burning need to be near her. However, I refrained from bombarding her with texts or confronting her and bugging her about the reason why she was ignoring me because I’d rather not appear as a pathetic and unwanted chaser. Instead, I waited for her routine dry texts whenever it was time for a project meeting and tried to be content with the minimal conversation and dismissive behavior she put up throughout it. I complied religiously with everythin
