As they reach the high dune’s crest, Teuns’ escort leader puts up his hand, and everybody halts immediately. What Teuns Stegmann sees in front of him nearly brings his heart to a standstill, and the blood runs cold in his veins. The desert is alive with movement, and it looks like a giant nest of ants. A massive dust cloud is roiling up from the Sahara desert. Teuns looks down upon the Dulac army, which will be the cause of his death. He estimates the distance to the Dulac camp and guesses that they are approximately five kilometers away from the foremost riders of the Dulac masses. Only five kilometers more he has to travel to die. He shivers and looks quickly behind him, but the Dulac guards surrounding him seem impossible to defeat them and escape.
