The file Alice found was part of a hodgepodge collection of records, in a folder titled NX35. Those letters and numbers meant nothing to her.
She stumbled onto the folder late last night, and dutifully began opening the first several files. At least these had some organization. They were listed alphabetically. Alice began at the top with the A’s.
Some of the files in the NX35 folder contained just a few documents, some of them contained many. Alice scanned the various memos and reports, waiting for something to catch her eye, but nothing seemed especially intriguing. There were names and dates, but none of them meant anything to her. By the time she reached the end of the C’s, Alice’s eyelids were too heavy to hold open any longer. She gave up for the night and gave in to the overwhel
