I parked the truck and started my walk back to the packhouse. This has been a fu*ked up day. Heather seems like a really nice person, but some weird sh*t has been happening since she got here and that was only looking at my phone to see that it’s now 1:00am, eight and a half hours ago. I walked through the back door and headed towards the stairs linking Levi. “Hey, where are you?”
“Bottom of the stairs.”
I rounded the corner to see Levi, Jacob and Zane standing at the bottom of the stairs. “Hey, did the girls get settled in?”
