“Be prepared tonight, Andriette. Avoid the Moon’s spotlight as long as you can hide from it,” she told herself while looking into the mirror, the reflection of her almost perfect beauty.
After five years, the werewolf realm is in search again for their new Alpha’s breeder. Every five years, the current Alpha’s breeder is set free. She will be brought into the human world, with her wolf inside being taken out. As a prize, a ton of gold and a carriage will be gifted to her by the Alpha King or the King of all Alphas.
And tonight, a new Alpha’s breeder will be chosen while the current one will be set free. Andriette received a notice three days ago, that she belonged to the age group and she-wolves of quality where the Alpha’s new breeder will be chosen. She was ordered to make herself present in the open field as the moon rise to its fullest and perfect big round conformation.
While other she-wolves dreamed of becoming the next Alpha’s breeder, Andriette despised to be one. She dreamed of finding her mate and offering herself to him when the right time comes.
Besides, she is a Zeta Wolf, the kind of breed gifted by the moon goddess with unusual intelligence, and speed better than a Beta. Her speed and agility can even be compared to that of an Alpha. Most Zetas are successful not only because of their superhuman intelligence, and strong senses better than Betas and other werewolves in ranks but also because they are most trusted for their heightened mental-link ability and enhanced danger sense, which are stronger than the Alpha Werewolf. Zetas have accelerated healing abilities. They heal the quickest from most injuries, almost at the level of an Alpha. To top it most, they have an immune system that can fight off wolfsbane poisoning and almost all diseases except common colds.
She does not need to aim therefore to become an Alpha’s breeder because she can have the wealth and power that she aimed for without letting different Alphas use her body for their pleasure and as their breeding machine. All she needs to do is to use all her Zeta abilities to their maximum capacity.

“Andriette, it is time for you to go. Every she-wolf on the list of possible new breeders is already in the open field.” It was her father, who said aloud after knocking on her door.
“Father, you know very well, I don’t want to be an Alpha’s breeder,” her tone was cold, while her expression was fierce. “Why would even a father, who said to love his daughter allow his precious daughter to be a breeding machine for these egotistic Alphas? If these Alphas could not find their mates yet, can they just wait until they found them? And these Alphas with infertile mates or Lunas, can they just find their mistresses and let them bear their heirs?” she asked further, with hatred bulging through her eyes.
Her father’s expression was like he had just watched a horror movie. He became horrified upon hearing her words.
“Andriette, stop talking nonsense! If an Alpha would hear you, you know very well what will happen to you!”
Andreitte tried to keep her mouth shut, got out of her room, and without looking back, marched to the open field. She will use her speed and agility to avoid being caught by this alleged moon’s spotlight. Alleged, because they all know that it actually came from the tallest tower and not from the moon.
Andreitte saw at least around twenty she-wolves gathered at the center of the open field. Everyone seemed to be so thrilled to be chosen as the new Alpha’s breeder for tonight. She pities them. She pities how shallow their dreams could be. If they will call her a braggart, big-headed, and other name-calling, she will just smirk at them. Unlike them, she does not dream of becoming the new Alpha's breeder!
“May the crown be with one of them and not mine!” Andreitte prayed before she walked to the center and mixed herself with the group of she-wolves.
Suddenly, they heard the loud bang of a gun. It was the warning shot. The next bang would mean, the moon’s spotlight will start to roll to find the new Alpha’s breeder.
When the final sound of the gunshot echoed all over the open field, the she-wolves run almost at the same time, wanting to be the first to catch the moon’s spotlight.
Andreitte on one hand, let her body fall on the ground and she rolls in a flash like a ball, hoping not to be spotted by the moon’s spotlight.
