''You had better, unless it is your head on the line,'' Zane said, cutting off the phone before I could even get the chance to defend myself further.
'' Was that Shadow,'' Santiago asked beside me.
'' Yeah he knows, and he is really pissed.'' I answered.
'' As he is supposed to be, his daughter and his heir have been taken, but how did he find out this,'' Santiago said, and my demeanor changed for the worse.
'' I don't know so I can't answer that question,'' I let out, allowing silence to take over again.
'' You know, if Cora hears you referring to Zane as her father I swear she is going to hate you for good.'' I chuckled, saying, breaking through the silence, as I remembered all the time Cora had scolded me for referring to Zane as her father.
