Cora's POV.
It all happened so fast that it left me breathless for an instant. One minute, I was in Karl's arms gazing at the stars and enjoying his company and the next thing I knew, Bruno was here pulling me out of Karl's embrace.
The anger look in his eyes was like nothing I had ever seen before. He was like an angry lion about to feast on his prey, and if I hadn't stopped him he would have killed Karl right there and then.
Bruno zoomed off in his car with me seated beside me. The car was filled with an unbearable silence as I could even hear every sound the car made, right now, and, trust it was, nerve-racking. I could even hear Bruno's angry breathing as he clenched on to the steering wheel as if it was his life line.
