Cora's POV
The morning came soon enough, and the sun graced the sky with all its beauty. I got up from bed as I opened the window, breathing in the smooth air of the morning. The city looked even more beautiful in the morning light.
I quickly took a shower as I got dressed. I wanted to see the preparations for tonight's ball myself, since Bruno had refused to tell me anything. Storming down the stairs, I was met with hustling and the bustling of men going in and out of the house.
'' Was this all because of the ball tonight,'' I asked myself.
Okay, I needed to find Bruno, because all this was confusing for me.
'' Where is Bruno,'' I stopped and asked one of the men who was bustling down the hall.
'' He is in the room just down the hall, but I don't think he would want to see you,
