04 | Keeping Secrets

*Edric’s POV*

*Victoria’s POV*

It has been a few days since I finally woke up. My mate has been the best. As always. He never left my side. Well, unless I insisted that he needed to shower, but other than that, he stayed by my side. I couldn’t have asked for a better mate.

My parents and brother visit me constantly. My parents more than brother because Edric couldn’t be away from Kayshla for too long. Turns out that she had her heat and he was taking care of her. He only left her side for a few minutes to come check on me.

Xavier really wants girls, but I would be happy with either as long as they are healthy.

“The doctor is coming. He says that I can officially take you to our room.” He smiled lovingly.

After running so many tests, they weren’t able to find why I was passed out for so long. Mother insists that it was a vision, but I really hope it isn’t. I don’t want to lose any loved ones. Regardless, Mother wants me to work on my powers. I still haven’t figured out exactly what my powers are. We decided to wait a few more days before testing them though.

“Princess.” The doctor greeted me as he walked into the bedroom. “I assume your mate has informed you that you will be released today?” He asked with a smile as I nodded.

“Perfect. Just remember that I want to see you in a few days. These babies have grown tremendously in the last few days. At this point, within a few weeks, I can tell you the genders.” He said with a smile.

I was still a bit nervous at how fast they were growing, but I just nodded. “Anything else?” I asked lowly.

“No. You are good to go. I have sent vitamins and immune boosters to your room with instructions.” He said as he turned to leave, but paused. “Try to keep the mating at a minimum for the next few days.” He advised.

“No can do, Doc.” I said, surprising myself and making Xavier chuckle. Goddess, I have become such a horn dog.

“Fine. Just don’t be too rough. You are good enough to leave the clinic, but you are still a little weak from whatever happened to you. The pups are also taking a lot of your strength away at the level that they have been growing.” He said before actually leaving this time.

Xavier pecked my lips as he continued laughing. “I see that someone is craving some Vitamin D.” He chuckled as he lifted me up bridal style.
