Jenna I made my way across town to see my therapist, Grace. After the things Brandon said to me, and how he kissed me again, I felt confused, confused about so much. My mother, Toby, and Brandon. I called Grace before leaving my apartment and booked an emergency appointment. She doesn’t work Sundays, but the amount of money my father pays her means Grace will drop everything to see me. I sat telling Grace what had happened with my mother and what Brandon had said to her. Then I told Grace what Brandon said about wanting to help me get better. I just need some advice. I don’t know what to make of all of this. “You have every right to be happy, Jenna. Brandon sounds like a good guy.” Grace tells me. “He is,” I smile dreamily. “Do you think Brandon’s reaction to your mother was unjust?”
