Chapter 11 Making Friends Casper finished his breakfast one-handed while Susan iced, then wrapped his swollen hand. “Been a few years since I’ve done anything like that,” Casper said, and actually laughed. For the first time since arriving he seemed energized, interested in the goings on around him. Michael spent the rest of the morning in orbit around Casper, thanking him a hundred times, at least, and doing every small thing for him that Casper would allow. “Don’t stop suddenly, H. We’ll have to pull him out by his ankles,” Camp said to Casper as they all walked back to the lodge after breakfast was cleared away.
