Odell stood up straight and sat his phone down on the counter, he looked at Massy for a long minute not sure if he should say anything to her.
"Mas?" He nervously said
Massy continued staring down at the stack of papers completely ignoring him, she knew he was still there, she heard him say her name, but she just couldn't stop looking at what was about to be her future.
"Aye, come here." Odell walked around the counter to her, still not looking up at him, Odell pulled her into a hug. Wrapping his large arms around her shoulders and resting his chin on the top of her head. "You gone be good iigh? You got this. Ain't no pressure. You been doing this."
Massy lightly shook her head no, her eyes began to glaze over with tears. Massy wrapped her arms around his waist, letting him know she appreciated him consoling her, but they both knew it wasn't enough. "Come on, let's chill out." He said pulling her towards the living room and away from all the papers.
Massy plopped down on the couch, her body sinking further into the cushions. She began to pull her knees to her chest but was stopped when Odell grabbed her waist, barely using any strength he pulled her close to him. "Nope, come."
Odell wasn't a fan of cuddling, snuggling or anything along those lines, but consoling her at that moment was on the top of his list, whether she liked it or not. Massy herself wasn't fond of cuddling, she frowned and tensed up her body for a few minutes before she finally gave up and relaxed her back against his chest. Odell played with the black elastic hair tie that was around her right wrist, Massy looked down at his large hand as he twisted it with his fingers.
"That's crazy." She said quietly.
Odell lifted his head and opened his eyes. "What?" He looked at her looking at his hand, then opened it palm up. Massy placed her hand in his, palm down lining her hand in his, her fingers were several inches shorter than his.
"They're 10inches wide going diagonal from the tip of my pinky to the tip of my thumb." Massy shook her head impressed still looking down. "I currently have the largest hands in the NFL..... That they know of." He added.
"Damn, how is that even possible, you're only 5'11." She said. "That's how you so good at one-handed catches." She added, chuckling.
"Other than practicing it nonstop, but yea." Odell's voice began to sound deeper than normal, she didn't even have to look at him to know he was tired, she heard it all in his voice.
Odell slightly moved his hand and interlocked his fingers with Massy's, she slightly frowned and continued to keep her hand open. "You know the only reason I'm going Pro is to get away from you." Massy teased as she slightly turned her head to look up at him out the corner of her eye.
Odell smiled confidently, his head leaning back on the couch cushion and his eyes closed. "You thought." He teased her back, then gripped tighter around Massy's hand.
Massy smiled through her frown at how charming he was in that very moment, she loosened up her hand and finally closed her fingers around the back of his hand.

Massy opened her eyes, realizing she was now on her side, the first thing she saw was Odell's bare chest, she calmly laid there looking at his tattoos that covered his collarbone and shoulders.
"Why is your shirt off?" She asked, her voice still sounding sleepy.
Odell took a deep breath but remained in his same position, his eyes still closed. "I pushed you off me, cuz I got hot, I was gone push you off da couch, but I thought that would be kinda f****d up, so I took my shirt off instead." He said nonchalantly and being extremely serious with his answer.
Massy continued looking at his chest. "Thanks for the consideration. She said back nonchalantly.
He nodded his head, and moved one of his hands down to Massy's hip and laid it there, he kept the space between them but still kept a hand on her. She continued laying there not wanting to get up, she smelled like his soap and cologne from laying next to him all night, she looked down his chest, down to his abs, stopping at the large bulge in the front of his gray sweat shorts. Odell opened his eyes looking at her looking at his morning wood.
"I can pull it out if you want." He suggested to her.
Massy's eyes shot up at him, she frowned. "Shut up." She hissed back rolling on to her back.
"I gotta go to the bathroom." There were many different ways Odell could have got off the couch, but he purposely rolled onto of her putting her in between his leg, both his muscular arms on either side of her head. He leaned his lower half into her and winked, flashing his boyish smile then pushed off the couch and vanished down the hall.

The plan for ending training camp on a good note was nothing more than a success, there were good vibes to start the season off, but it was too early to start celebrating. Family, friends, and sports fans filled the outside training stadium excited about the up and coming season, also excited to see what Odell had to offer again, watching the players stumble, run, and clown about.
Cameras followed Odell around the field doing a short documentary on him, that would air later on in the year. He joked around with Cruz who was able to do light practicing, but to prevent further injury he wouldn't be on the field too much, if not at all.
Massy who had formed a great friendship with many of the players, but formed a closer connection to punter Brad Wing, who also attended LSU and was also very close to Odell, referring to him as a younger brother. Wing played the field between Massy and Odell, knowing the two had an attraction to one another he'd often instigate their budding friendship.
"50 yards." She smacked her lips. "don't even throw it! Put it on the line, I'm kicking it straight up there." Massy said to Wing with a scrunched up face, she spoke with confidence as if what she was saying was nothing.
Wing looked at her with a frowned face shaking his head in disbelief. "50 yards? No, you not." He said.
"No bullshit, right up there." She said with a straight face.
Wing turned and began walking towards the 50-yard line, Massy followed already knowing he was about to test her statement, he called out to Collins to throw him a football. Wing bent down placing the ball on the 50-yard line, tip-up, he held it with his index finger. Massy took several steps back, other teammates began closing in and looking up to see what the two were doing, Odell stopping his own random dancing to see what was going on. She began running towards the ball, with all her strength she kicked the football with her right foot sending it flying through the air, Wing stood up placing his hand up, shielding the sun so he could see where the ball would end up. Just like what she said it went through the yellow post taking a slight right curve.
Wing shook his head in disbelief. "Do it again." He said assuming it was luck. He lifted his arms signaling for someone to throw him another ball.
Wing repeated his stance, Massy taking several steps back again, and sending the ball through the post again. Wing asked for another ball, and again Massy sent it straight through. Wing stood up realizing it wasn't luck at all. He shook his head.
"If I can't kick 50 yards I probably shouldn't be getting ready to go Pro." She said looking at him.
Wing looked up at Odell and smiled. "You sending it 50 yards O?" He asked.
Massy turned to look him up and down. Odell pulled his shoulder pads off, Wing signaled for another ball. Placing it to the ground, Odell took several steps back and sent the ball through the air, the ball spun too far right and slightly missed the post.
"Gem'me another one." He said still looking at the goal post.
Odell sent another ball through the air, still too far right, by the 3rd time Odell sent three balls too far right. Odell turned around squinting his eyes from the sun.
"It's the wind." He said waving one hand in the air and squinting.
"Ain't no damn wind out here man." Collins said back also squinting his eyes from the sun, everyone turned around and began walking away.
Odell caught up with Massy, throwing his arm around her shoulder. "You trying to show me up?" He said quietly leaning into her ear as they walked.
Massy continued looking straight, a small confident grin. "Had to get you back from the batting cages."
