3 I have to admit the next day I was still shaken over Tanner’s stalking attitude. I thought about telling John about my problems, but he had his head full of restrained anger and agitation. Greg Monroe, his new babysitter assigned by the investor company to watch over John’s decisions, was coming that day. I knew something was wrong when I came into the house and wasn’t met with even a hand shake, much less the usual passionate kiss of the last few days. I found John in his study, and was surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The usual state of the study was controlled anarchy with a dash of randomness thrown in for good measure.
