I had just finished a remote video conference and was leaning back in my chair to rest. Just then, my phone rang. Who could it be since they were calling my personal line.
I would have guessed it was Ava, since she had my number but it couldn’t be her, she had no reason to contact me first. Usually my general calls were received by my Beta.
I picked up the phone. It was a call from the hospital and I immediately answered, "Hello."
“Alpha Graham, your brother’s condition has worsened. We need your presence at the hospital.” The doctor said into the phone.
I frowned, "I'll be there right now!" After hanging up the phone, I stood up, picked up the suit hanging on the hanger, put it on neatly, and strode out.
