Kate felt as if she was falling and instinctively grabbed Joseph. He was pulled down on top of her by the unexpected force. They were so close that they could feel the other breathing. It was like a soft breeze that brought warmth and comfort.
"Go away!" Kate shouted with disgust when she came to her senses.
In the past, it was always Joseph who acted so cold, but now it was Kate. It was the same cold and unaffectionate atmosphere, but the one creating was the only difference.
Joseph got up immediately and asked gently, "Did I hurt you?"
Kate did not answer him. She got up, pulled open the drawer, took out a file from it, and signed her name.
