Chapter Nine Kate I stared at my sad glass of water and scowled. “Why did I agree to go to a bar with you tonight? When I can’t even drink?” “Because if I had to listen to you crying at some Hallmark romcom for the thousandth time, I was going to lose it.” Naoko, dressed in a short blue romper with her hair in twin buns, kept catching looks from most of the men at the bar.
