Letting her go

"Fine" He said running his hand through his hair to have it fall back. "Let's have breakfast first, and then I'll let you go" Her eyes which had deemed down sparkled with a glim the moment he said so. She would really be leaving today, she couldn't be any happier, but yet again, from the look on his face, doubt began to creep in. Once she was done with her bath, she noticed new clothes were placed on the bed as before, she didn't let her mind ponder much as she slipped into them. "Where is... Your boss?" Penelope asked Felix immediately she was done with her food since he was the only one standing in the room while she ate. His eyes looked behind past her, at the plate "You're not done yet" He said as the plate still contained quite alot. "Am full" She quickly said, all she wanted was to leave this place. "And I'm sorry, but unless you're through with your food, I can't take you anywhere." He said as a matter of fact cause Dorian had specifically instructed him to bring her to him once and only once she was through eating. Grumpily, she sat back, finishing her plate. Done, Felix led her to the door by the side, the one which led to the elevator. Getting to the stair ramp, Penelope realised how luxurious this place looked. The ceiling had a beautiful chandelier hanging from it and huge white pillars coming down from it, the stair railing was made of a peculiar material she failed to identify but it definitely looked fancy and likely expensive. They got to the end of the stairs, the walls, chairs, counters, and almost everything were coated or made to a deem level of white with a blint of grey and the tiles beneath her feet made of ebony marbles, it complimented the whole interior drastically. Her eyes soon fell on the man who was approaching them, a smile on his deceitful face, the movie industry would certainly ogle for a face as such for their cover in Hollywood. What are you thinking? Snap out of it Penelope, she scolded herself. Dorian approached his mate who was currently in the new clothes he'd bought, he was yet to get her a set of closet clothes,so he asked some of his shifters to get one, although they looked confused when he asked, they didn't question, not like he would answer if they did. His hand made it to her hair which flowed down her shoulders. Colour as dark as his wolf form, he smiled feeling it's soft strands. "Let's go my love" Felix who was standing by the side was about letting out an abrupt cough but choked on it instead knowing that could get him punished severely. 'My love?' Never had Dorian spoken or addressed anyone so endearingly, not even Jasmin, the supposed to be Luna of their pack. He couldn't help but wonder the drama to unfold once Jasmin was back, what would happen to her. Well, he didn't care, their Alpha had found his mate and as for Jasmin, well, she could go to he** for all he cared. Dorian led Penelope out and even though she didn't like it, she let him hold her hand. She was yet to let her mind think about the tingling sensation which flowed from their skin contact, even when he had hugged her, the sensation was overwhelming at that time and oddly, comforting. He led her towards the gate which she remembered sliding through, the first time she escaped. He hadn't said a word but one of the two men who were standing went on to open it for them. He led her out and they walked a short distance from the gate before he stopped and let go of her hand. Her eyes immediately shot at him but he was looking ahead. "Off you go" Penelope's eyes widened Wait. Was he expecting her to... "You said you'd take me home" "I said I'd let you go"he corrected. "And that's what I'm doing" He turned to her. "Make sure you avoid the Wolf's den" W_w_Wolf's den? "They can be quite feisty" he spoke, a harmless smile on his charming lips. Panic set in as she watched him begin to walk back to the gate. She wanted to call him back but stopped herself, if this man was giving her a chance to escape, then she would take it. Looking back at the vast estate in front of her. The Wolf's den, which side was it? Quickly, she turned around to ask but he was already gone. Alright Penelope, you have one chance to get away from here, don't waste it, based on her memory, the last time she had run off, she had taken the N-EAST, this time, she prayed to the Lord, then took the N-WEST. Only an hour had passed but Penelope felt like it was five, she was already exhausted. This was a huge estate and no matter what route she took, she failed to find it's exit. NO! She wouldn't give up, she had only just started. The zeal of getting to her family was much stronger and this alone gave her strength but after few more hours of endless walking, the little hope she earlier had vanished, she was too tired to keep walking. From the far end of the route she was walking through, she sighted a street installed bench, using the last of her strength, she walked over to it and slumped down on it, tiredness washed over her being and her eyes felt heavy making her drouse and soon, she was in slumber. She napped on the bench for a while and woke up only at the feel of someone's hand on her shoulder. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open and immediately, she jolted away at the sight of a man in front of her. "W-who are you?" She asked although she recognized him a little, he was the man she had seen in the palour the other day. Her eyes took in the notice of two black cars parked in front of her, the sky, slightly deem of it's light, was it evening already. A scary growl pulled her attention to look behind her and when she did, she nearly screamed at the sight of three ferocious looking wolves. Her steps voluntarily moved quickly to the man who stood before her. "Quit frightening the poor girl" He said and at once, the wolves stopped growling but stood in place. Wait. Did the wolves just understand what he spoke. Penelope didn't understand. "Hmm" He turned to her. "You must be Alpha Dorian's mate if I remember quite right" ALPHA? She didn't understand what he meant. Was he speaking about the man that abducted her. 'Dorian?' The name sounded familiar. "Am Tordoff” He introduced "What are you doing here?" He asked confused, lycans weren't very fond of leaving their mates unattended especially Dorian, leaving his mate to the likes of other male lycans didn't seem like a thing he'd do, considering how he was almost beaten to death for just calling her a weak human. "I was searching for the exit of this place." Exit? But the exit of this estate was no where near here, it was at the further end. Wait. Was she trying to run away, if she was, that would mean either Alpha Dorian claimed her forcefully or just took her, claiming her to be his mate, but why would he do such, either ways. "Come, I'll help you out of here" He said offering his hand and he could see the hesitation in her before she accepted his help. She was scared of the wolves behind so she stuck close. How was this girl to be a Luna. Dorian was genuinely cursed, given not even a worthy mate, the moon goddess really had it out for him. ××××××××× Penelope stayed silent as they drove off, this time, out of the estate, indeed, it was large. The man sat beside her but she was sitting at the further end and was thankful he didn't move closer. He passed a warm smile at her when she looked his way but she remained wary of him. Soon, they got to a different district and as they exited the large bar gates, she knew they were out. Finally. Soon, they got to the highway, she would finally be going home. They drove for a while more but once they got to a spot, she asked to be dropped. The last thing she needed was a kidnap accomplice knowing where she lived. "Are you sure?" Tordoff asked when she asked them to stop there "Yes sir, thank you so much" She appreciated. Penelope watched the car drive off until it cornered out of sight. A relieved breath left her lips, shutting her eyes, she looked at the sky, it was getting dark. Flashing her hand out, she stopped a taxi, directing it's driver to her home. Her home was located at LC 23 and they were just at LC 17 when the driver abruptly stopped and her eyes snapped open as she had earlier droused to sleep. "Why did you stop?" She asked "Miss, there's a car parked ahead of us" Penelope looked ahead and noticed a black Mercedes parked vertically to them making it impossible for one to drive ahead. She frowned, what was wrong with that driver, causing a road block. The driver of the taxi she was in honked but the car ahead wouldn't move. "Just take another route then" Penelope suggested. "I cannot do that miss" "Why's that?" "There's another car behind us" Behind them? Her head flung behind, noticing the car parked behind them, she maybe thought it was cause of the road block but once the door opened, her heart almost dropped to her stomach at the person who came out. The last person she wished to see.
