Not a nightmare

1676 Words
As Dorian carried his mate into the mansion, he paid zero attention to the rest of the pack who had come out possibly because of his earlier outburst when he couldn't find his mate. He led up the stairs, walking into the elevator which would lead him to his room. Confusion was not enough of words to explain the looks on everyone who had come out at the mind link of the Alpha's rage. They had already readied their fighting stance, most of them partially turned with sharp claws but instead, confusion hit them at the sight of their Alpha, a frown on his face but what baffled them was the girl in his arms. Who was she? From their senses, they knew she wasn't a shifter like them, she was. Human? They were confused, even though their Alpha wished to take pleasure from a woman, they doubted he would ever choose a....human. "Alright, show's over" Said Felix, the Alpha's second lead, known as the Gamma. Clapping both hands, he dismissed everyone who had come out to their respective floors. ×××××××× Using his free hand, Dorian opened the door, taking his mate who had stayed quiet all the while. He placed her down and she was quick to try moving away from him but instead, she hissed, leaning slightly and this immediately got him alert as he held her. His mate was hurt. Placing his hand behind her knee as well as back, he cradled her, walking towards the bed, he made her sit, careful enough not to hurt her, although he could see clear signs of resentfulness from her towards him. ×××××××××× Penelope thought the wolves were the only thing that had frightened her so but once they were in the house and the sight of so many men all in one place came to her view, her body stilled with fear. What exactly did this man plan to do to her. Not even a single female was in the room but then, it dawned on her. She was the female. Were they planning to...? NO! A fear she had never known existed crept through her body. She would rather be killed by those wolves that had tried to attack her than be used by these men as an instrument of pleasure. The ding sound of the elevator brought her back from her thoughts as the man who had adopted her led her into the room. He placed her down and immediately, she tried stepping away from him but the pain on her leg stung which made her hiss. Leaning down to lessen the pain of standing on her hurt leg, she felt his hand go down her knee and her eyes widened but before she could do a thing, he carried her and placed her gently on the bed. He crutched down to her level and his hand went to her leg. What was he doing? Instinctively, Penelope moved her leg away, she watched as his hand stayed paused in mid before he moved it again and before she could draw her leg off again, he caught it firmly but gentle enough to not hurt her. His thumb moved to the fore of her leg and that was when Penelope realised her fracture wasn't the only injury she had, there was a bruise close to her toe and as her brain would have it, she began to feel pain in that area. ××××××××××× A deep frown covered Dorian's face at the injury which he saw on his mate's foot. His eyes stared unblinkingly at her foot but then again, it didn't look like his focus was here, he looked like he was thinking and immediately after, the door flung open. Azrael, who had heard the Alpha's instructions through mind link was quick to go to where the girl sat, his hand moving to where her injury was visible and then, he placed his hand against it. Although he was a shifter as everyone in the pack house, he was only half of it, while his other half belonged to a blood line of faes, so he possessed some incapable abilities most shifters wouldn't. Penelope was beyond shocked when the pain on her foot turned numb immediately the grey-haired man torched it. Was this magic or what? Alpha, I can only numb the pain, the wounds will have to heal on their own. Azrael spoke through mind link which was a private way Lycans or rather shifters communicated. Every shifter was born with this incredible ability of being able to inter-link their minds with another of their kind. Dorian didn't seem pleased at his words, although thankful his mate would feel no more pain. That'll do, you can leave. At once, Azrael left. Dorian's eyes snapped at the tray of many dishes which looked untouched. "You didn't eat?" "What do you want from me?" Penelope snapped back, finding her voice again. No expression whatsoever crossed Dorian's face which remained soft as he stared at her. Taking a step, he approached her, leaning down to her level, a small smile on his lips and his hand going to caress her cheek. "Nothing my love" Again, with the name, why? She wanted to ask but then figured on her own. Most nasty men would call a girl anything just to have her to lay with him. Immediately his hand touched her cheek, she jerked away from him and even though he didn't like that, his expression remained the same, soft. Pushing himself back up, his eyes moved to the broken window. Penelope just watched him as he walked to the window which she had broken, he just looked out down from it and said no words but she caught a frown on his face. Was he angry? She hoped so. No ounce of regret was found on her face for breaking his window, he looked rich, he could get it fixed. Quietly, he walked back to the bed side and his hand moved to his chest. Penelope's eyes widened once he began to unbutton his shirt. Oh no! She would rather die. Her head immediately shot at different places looking for a weapon when she spotted the statue, she had used in breaking the window, it was strong enough, one hit with it on the head would certainly leave him unconscious. "There's a bathroom over there my love" He nodded towards her back and when she looked behind, she noticed the white door. "You can use it to shower" Letting go of all the buttons of his shirt, he took it off and Penelope was about closing her eyes but breathed out relieved when she realised, he wore a white inner vest. "I'll send someone to bring in your dinner, you must be hungry" Passing a warm smile at her, he walked out. Penelope kept her eyes fixed on the door for a while longer as she weighed her chances of escaping but the thought of all those men she had seen, a shiver passed through her spine. Looking back at the broken window and at the memory of those wolves, she knew any plans of her being able to escape were pointless, at least for tonight. Her best shot would be to try again tomorrow, while the day was clear. Looking at her leg which was still injured but she barely felt any pain, her mind referred back to what had happened earlier, although she didn't believe in magic or any of those stuff, she Wondered what exactly he had done. Well, whatever it was, she didn't care. Right now, she stunk of sweat and her tears and possibly of dirt so moving to the door where that man had showed her, she got in, taking a shower. She would execute her escape tomorrow, currently, the only thing which wondered through her mind was, how worried her father would be once he realized she had gone missing, did he already know, were they searching for her? she could already imagine the worried look on his face, and her mother. She felt tears sting in her eyes. She would need to get away from this place if she wished to save her mother's life. Coming out of the shower, fully clothed in her own clothes, she noticed a nightwear placed neatly on the bed. She frowned. When did anyone come in, perhaps she was too distracted in her thoughts to know? Her current clothes stunk of a foul smell supposedly consumed by the soaks of her sweat. It wouldn't hurt to change out of them, would it? Taking the pair of night clothes being a spotted sweat pant with a light shirt, she changed her clothes and got into them. ×××××××××× As the soft light of the morning sun touched Penelope's face, she felt it's warmth bliss over her being. A smile slowly grazed her lips as she yawned. Her head snuggled into the pillow which felt extremely soft as though made with the lightest of feathers. A tingling sensation which came in waves through her body made her snuggle even more comfortably to whatever that was bringing the sensation. She had had the worst nightmare ever of being kidnapped and she was glad she had woken up from it. She couldn't even imagine how frightened she had been but then it dawned on her, her mother was still at the hospital and she Still needed to find a way for her bill. At once, she tried to get up from the bed but felt some kind of weight preventing her from doing so. She tried getting up again but stilled immediately she felt something move on her. Slowly, her eyes peered open and instantly a scream erupted from her mouth immediately she saw the face of someone. It wasn't a nightmare.
