-THIRD POV-
Prince Killah's bewildered gaze shifted from the priceless teapot sets placed in front of him to the cozy interior design of the Blue Moon manor, drawing a strained no-tooth smile to the corner of his lips.
They've been in the home base of the aforementioned pack for a half hour. Yuri Hannah was apprehended while he was being taken to Alpha Raffa's compound.
There seemed to be a misunderstanding that needed to be cleared up before taking serious action, so the prince and his bodyguard had little choice but to toe the line. Thankfully, Alpha Raffa moved quickly to alleviate the tense situation by inviting Prince Killah over for a cup of tea.
The dawn would rise in a few winks from the east, but the prince disregarded his wailing body, which needed rest. He could only go to bed after he understood why they had taken Yuri like he was a notorious criminal.
The prince sat upright and leaned forward in the center of the camelback sofa. He took his time reaching for the teapot and poured tea into his cup. He could wait for the alpha across from him to inform him about his arrangement with his bodyguard even though his thoughts were not leaving Yuri's case.
Alpha Raffa began to speak right away when he read the atmosphere. "Your Highness, it is a pleasure to have a royal lineage as a guest in our pack; but, I and the other members of my pack are not accustomed to bowing, so kindly accept our apologies in advance."
Prince Killah's reply came after he took a drink of tea and slowly set the cup down on the saucer. As he raised his chin and focused on Blue Moon's alpha, he couldn't help but hum. He quietly inspected his attire, including his button-down shirt, pants, and a pair of derby shoes.
Alpha Raffa's striking body composition and height give him a threatening look even if it's obvious that he prefers the office. Even though he had a stern exterior behind his smile that could have been misinterpreted as that of a tyrannical leader, the prince didn't appear to be deterred because he needed answers.
Prince Killah could buy some time to sate his curiosity while sipping his tea, but the tensed air obliged him to end the chase short. "Trivial issues don't bother me, Alpha; I'm more concerned with significant matters, such as the illogical arrest of my bodyguard."
"Here in Blue Moon, we don't accept foolish acts like abducting a royal prince. Whether it's the beta of our friends or not, condemnation is guaranteed, Your Highness," Alpha Raffa responded as he fixed the prince with an intense gaze.
Prince Killah muttered, "You say abduction," grinning steadily at the alpha. "The claim, in my opinion, makes no sense because I was informed that Yuri Hanna is my designated bodyguard and it is obvious that his responsibility is to defend and guard this modest prince."
"Mr. Gozo was found dead in his rest house, and we were informed Yuri kidnapped you from Adamson City. Are you stating that Alpha Alva's second-in-command did not commit an offense?" Alpha Raffa asked openly.
Without missing a beat, the prince remarked sarcastically, "If your definition of committing the offense is to save a royal's ass from a bunch of bloody assassins, then I guess you're right, Yuri is guilty," pinpointing the issue.
The alpha was silent for a brief period before he let out a long breath and raked back his thick and dark, medium-length hair. "Damn it! Alpha Alva and the others need to know about this," he sounded irritable, resting his elbows on top of his knees.
Prince Killah chuckled as he nodded in agreement when he heard that. He's already picturing Yuri Hanna pitching a pit at that precise time as he says, "Yes, please do so." Only twenty-four hours had passed since he first met the beta, but he already knew what kind of person his bodyguard was. Easily angry but trustworthy. passionate but grumpy. His fascination with Yuri Hanna was further stirred by her strange qualities.
Alpha Raffa pulled his hands away from his hair after a few moments, and Prince Killah was taken aback when the stiff alpha gave him a sincere smile before getting up from his chair. "Enjoy your tea, Your Highness; the Omega will help you to your chamber and with anything else you need; I'll leave you now and catch up with you later."
After shaking Prince Killah's hand firmly, the alpha ran out of the reception area, leaving the prince to finish his drink.
"Who would have thought that tea in the eastern land tastes better than ours?" he praised, grinning, because he hadn't expected shifters from the east to be more fascinating.
Killah knew that Alpha Raffa would handle his bodyguard's case after he left. He pondered how Yuri would respond if he learned that someone was trying to frame him.
The prince mumbled between drinks, "Abduction, huh?" Someone was keeping an eye on him, and they were initially paying attention to the people surrounding him. Nevertheless, he was not inclined to discover who it was. They might find him, and murder him.
That is if they are able to.

Meanwhile, Yuri was staring blankly at her cell wall at the Blue Moon pack's detention facility. She murmured in the pause, "Kidnapping?" and laughed sarcastically. She was shocked to learn that she was in jail after going through so much to safeguard the royal prince. "Those shitheads accused me of kidnapping that wimp?" she exclaimed in disbelief.
Someone gave misleading information to the Blue Moon alpha. He could say that whoever it was was making a last-ditch effort to seize power over the prince. The more certain Yuri becomes that she needs to resign from his position before she finds herself in a more dangerous circumstance.
A dreadful omen surrounds Prince Killah. She must avoid getting entangled in his issue because she has a luxurious vacation planned that she is looking forward to. But first, she must confront the person who sent her to that awful place.
"You think you can get away with your debt by locking me up here! I'll charge you another million, do you hear me, Luna Shin!"
