CHAPTER 37 It’s the morning after that blowup about the Tylenol, and I’m lying in bed. I woke up half an hour ago when Jake got up for work, and now I can’t go back to sleep. The sun won’t rise for a few more hours. I’m not even sure God’s awake this early in the day. Jake and I didn’t say anything to each other before he left. I don’t even think he noticed that his stupid alarm woke me up. Some days I’m so glad I married Jake. Other days I don’t have a clue what I was thinking. We went to the courthouse the morning he proposed. We had no idea there were waiting periods or anything like that. We thought you could just show up and get it done.
