We met Julius and Esmeralda just as we got off the boat and I could see the surprise in Noah’s eyes when he met Julius. We followed them downstairs, and I could already hear music floating up from the ballroom. We stopped outside the doors to the dining room and were officially announced before we walked in. I had to smile when I felt Noah’s slight confusion.
People looked happy to see us! Vampires actually looked happy to see werewolves! We have a long history of war between our two species, but things have changed a lot over the centuries. We walked down the red carpet all the way to the front where Emma was waiting.
