Diana was admittedly a little ignorant about walking aids before this week and probably still has a lot to learn, but she has seen now how freeing the walking stick is for Sammy. With it, she’s been moving around the house alone, and they’ve talked a lot. Sammy has explained that wheelchairs don’t trap people: they free disabled people to live a different life in a world that is far from accessible if you’re not able bodied.
