“Is this too much?” I asked Dinah
I was getting ready for my dinner with Carlos, asked Dinah to come over because I was a nervous wreck, nearly decided not to go
“You look beautiful.” She smiled
“You sure? I have not overdone it, it is only dinner, not a date…I think.” I said rambling on
“It is a date, the two of you don’t want to admit it though.” She laughed “Winter he is a good man, give him a chance. I know you have not had any reasons to trust men over the years but you need to let those walls down at some point…Carlos is one of the good ones.” She added
I knew what she was saying was true, I knew he was a good guy but sometimes even the ones that seem like good guys turn out not be
“I know…” I sighed, running my fingers through my hair
