Chapter Ten The night was warm and the sounds from Hilary’s upstairs room annoyed her again. Though Oliver had soundly f****d his wife just hours before, he was completely occupied with his applicant submissive as the day turned into evening. The silence and the noises coming from the west wing aggravated Liza’s every attempt to remain at peace, and she slipped out of the house again by ten o’clock. The summer sun had just set, the sky in the west glowing orange as the last piece of sunset slipped below the horizon and was finally swallowed by darkness. She had no intention of seeking out Jack Salinger as she had two nights before, but instead, took the path beyond the pool, through the rose garden and into the small woods adjacent to the lawn. She left the lovers in the house to their ow
