Ember’s POV: I cleared my throat and backed away from Lucas. “We should get the flower and get out of here,” I stuttered. I hated how things felt like they were moving too fast, and I was starting to have little feelings for the man who was part of the reason my life has been hell. Why did everything have to become so messed up? Now all I had to do was return home and keep my distance from Lucas so everything would be fine, and I could go back to wholeheartedly hating his guts. I bet being together alone with him for days and him acting like a completely different person was messing up with my mind. “Yeah, we should,” he replied lowly. He looked confused by my sudden change of countenance. I walked further to where the flower was; it was a garden of different flowers, and this one wa
