Disaster

She groaned painfully as she got on her feet slowly, her leg was hurting as a matter of fact everything was hurting. She reached for her pocket to check if her phone was still with her but to her luck it wasn’t with her which meant it had fallen down, how was she going to find it? Emily asked herself. Could this night get any worse? The silence of the woods was sending shivers down her spine which was not a good thing. Tears began to form in her eyes as she finally realized the gravity of the situation, it was so bad. She had no experience in the woods or any survival skills. Just how the hell was she supposed to get out of here. If hunger didn’t kill her then the angry and hungry animal in the woods would. This was not the way she had planned to die, damn she didn’t even want to die now there were a lot of things she wanted to do, find love, get married and probably have kids. No no no, she had to be brave and find a way out of here or die trying. She wondered if the teachers knew she was missing by now. Taking in a deep breath, she pulled her jacket tightly around her body as she began her journey to no where. When she thought things couldn’t get worse it actually did, a loud thunder shook the sky as the lightning was brightening up the sky. “Oh my God, no no no”. Emily felt her heart clenched tightly, it was already hard for her finding her way and if it rained it would be much harder. A droplet of water fell on her cheek as she slowly wiped it from her cheek, at this point she was expecting the worst because there was no way she would survive in the woods all alone with heavy downpour. Anyways She continued to walk and and she did walk for a long time, it seemed like hours now, It began to drizzle and it was literally dripping from her forehead, down her face. Finally she saw a road ahead of her and she felt like heaven was opened to her. She increased her steps out of the woods and was standing in the middle of the road. And it seemed her stars were shining as she noticed a car coming from the opposite direction. Happily and eagerly she waved her hands so get the attention of the driver. The rain began to pour down angrily, soaking Emily completely wet but she didn’t mind as she stood on the road waving her hands in the sky. The car came closer and closer and stopped in front of her, a sigh of relief left her lips as she waited patiently for the person to come out of the car. The door opened and the person walked out with an umbrella over their head. “Get in”. Was all she heard, Emily was more than shocked, the person standing in front of her was none other than her school librarian. “What are you doing here?” She asked him and the man flashed her a look and he didn’t look pleased by her answer. “Get in the car, lets get out of here I really don’t like standing in the rain”. Luciano said calmly. Standing in the rain? How ironic. He had an umbrella over his head, how was he standing under the rain. That was supposed to be her line. Ignoring him she walked to the car, opened the door and slumped on the chair. Soon later Lucian was in the driver’s seat, he started the engine and drove off. They stayed in silence for a while before Emily spoke. “Are we heading back to the camp?” “No, the rain is pouring heavily and the roads are bad so we are going to stay in a near by cabin” He answered calmly without looking at her. “Oh okay”. Emily was not in the mood to argue or question the man, now that she was relaxed she felt all the pains come back in ten folds. Her head, her leg, everything was hurting. The drive was not a long one as they soon stopped in front of a building, it was like a hotel but a local hotel. “Get out”. He said bluntly and walked out of the car, Emily signed and climbed down the car, she was already drenched so there was no use for an umbrella now not that he offered her any. She walked behind him as they entered the building, there was an middle aged woman behind a counter, her eyes glued on Lucian as she chewed on her gum aggressively. “Good evening, Is there anything I can help you with handsome?” She said flashing a wide smile as him, batting her long lashes as she spoke. “Yes, I need to get two room for the night. Something good and comfortable” Lucian spoke eloquently “I am sorry honey, we have just one room left for visitors, this place is filled up to the brim. “ The woman said . “I am sure you can make something work for me, it’s urgent and I can pay twice for it” The woman’s eyes widened for a hot second but she masked her surprise and smiled, “I am sorry but there’s nothing I can do to help you. Although you can spend the night with me, I promise to make you comfortable”. She said batting her lashes seductively. Emily almost threw up at the woman’s words like who the hell did this kind of thing, such a shameless woman. “That is nice of you but I will pass, can you please stop wasting me time and pass me the room key”. Lucian said, his aura changing completely. Her smile fell as she composed herself, she pulled the drawer beside her and pulled out a key and placed it on the table. “Room 15, the first room on your right down the hallway” She said pointing to a door upstairs. Lucian placed a few dollars on the table and grabbed the key, without saying thanks he walked away following her directions. When he opened the door, warm breeze kissed his face. Although it wasn’t even half of his taste but he had to manage it because there was no way he was getting something better than this. He opened the window to air out the room, form his peripheral vision he saw Emily just standing by the door. “If you plan to sleep in the hallway please close the door” He said coldly as he turned on the air conditioner even though it was cold. “Are we sharing this room?” Emily asked as she walked into the room closing the door behind her. “I am sure the answer it obvious Salvadore” Hes spoke with a cold voice. “You don’t have to be rude you know, I was just asking a question” Emily murmured but it was loud enough for him to hear. “Rude? Emily I don’t think you understand what is going on here, I am here having to share a room with my student because she was stupid enough to wonder in the woods on her own in the night. Do you know what will happen to my reputation if anyone finds out about this? I think you do” Luciano spelled every word out to her. “Look I’m sorry I dragged you out here, And I am sorry I am putting your job at risk” Emily apologized even though she didn’t actually tell him to come find her. “I need to rest, you can take a shower or whatever you want, I will head downstairs to bring dinner”. Luciano said. Speaking about that, she just realized her clothes were drenched and she was cold, then again she had nothing to change into. “I don’t have any extra clothes”. Luciano let out a sigh and began to undo the button of his shirt, his action surprised Emily that her eyes widened. “W-what are you doing?” She stammered looking at him.
