LUCIANO’S REVENGE

Meeting with Mr Henry

Emily and her father walked into the chancellor’s office to discuss the hotel’s p*****t and others, it was a simple office covered in grey and white color.

A man in his mid fifties wearing a brown suit raised from his chair with a smile. “Good morning sit please” He said.

Her father sat opposite of the chancellor while Emily sat beside her father, “I am Henry Phillips, the chancellor of Snowflakes university”

“Nice to meet you, I am Paul Salvador” The men stretched their hands into a firm handshake. “This is my daughter Emily Salvador” Paul continued.

“Nice to meet you dear” Mr Henry said flashing his teeth at them.

“Thank you sir” Emily murmured returning the smile to the man.

“My daughter is a fresher here and I want her to stay in the school’s hostel as it would be more convenient for her to study properly there” Paul explained.

“We have very soon hotel facilities which I assure your daughter would enjoy, so there would be no problem for that all she needs to do it fill this form” Mr Henry said pulling out a paper from one of his drawers.

“Okay, thank you. There’s one more thing, I want to be fully convinced that your school property is 100% safe for her to stay in, I would not want to hear a*********s” Paul said in a serious tone.

“Of course Mr Salvador we take the safety of our students very important. There are about twenty trained security personnel who are in charge of protecting the hostels so everything is under control” Mr Henry said.

“Em sweetie, can you wait outside for me? I need to ask him something important” Paul whispered to his daughter, the girl gave him a questioning look before raising from the chair and walking out of the office.

“I am very serious Mr Henry I want extra attention paid to my daughter’s security” Paul said sternly.

“I do not understand Mr Salvador, are you questioning our security capabilities?” Mr Henry raised his brow at the man.

“No I am not, I am just making sure it is doubled when it comes to my daughter” Paul said, his hand reached for his pocket as he pulled out a cheque, “I am giving the school $500,000 to make sure my daughter is protected at all times” Paul said pushing the cheque towards the chancellor, “Do we have any agreement?”

Mr Henry greedily collected the cheque and pushed in into a pocket in his suit, “Yes sir, you can be rest assured that nothing happens to you daughter, she is completely safe in our hands”. The man smiled widely.

“I hope so, it is nice meeting you. Have a lovely day” Mr Salvador said, again the men shook their hands

“Have a lovely day too”. He watched as Paul walked out of the office closing th door behind him.

Emily just toyed with her bracelet waiting for her father to come out of the office.

“Are you done dad?” She asked seeing the man coming out of the office.

“Yes I am done, everything is settled. We will get your things settled by tomorrow” Paul said.

“Alright dad, thank you. I will have to head to class now” Emily said.

“Have a lovely day” He gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder before he walked away from her.

Emily wondered what her father discussed with the chancellor, she sighed and made her away to the class, just before she got to the class room Anaya ran towards to her.

“Hey Em. How are you doing?” Anaya said in her usual cheerful tone.

“I am good Anaya, how about you? Aren’t we having any class today?” Emily asked noticing the empty class room.

“I am good Em, Anyways there is no class till ten today so why don’t we go to the library?” She smiled sheepishly.

Emily rolled her eyes at Anaya words, “is it because of the so called cute librarian?” She asked.

“Well.. yes it is, I want you to see how handsome he is so you would stop thinking I am over reacting” Anaya said pouting.

“Is that necessary? Now you’re making me not thinking of going to the library again” Emily rolled her eyes again.

“Oh Em, why don’t we go see it ourself? Let’s get the honest moment of truth. You would step on your feet when you see him” Anaya said proudly.

“Yeah yeah whatever, let’s get this over with” Emily said.

“Thank you!!” Anaya almost yelled in happiness, she grabbed Emily’s hand and pulled her along with her to the library:

Anaya just kept a smile on her face as they made their way to the library which was on the second floor.

They opened the door and walked into the library, Emily could notice that there were many girls in the library who were obviously not reading as they were either on their phone or sleeping.

“The library is never so full like this before” Anaya whispered.

“How do you know that? Aren’t you a fresher here like me?” Emily asked.

“Well I am but my sister attended the school so I used to come here to see her all the times so I got used to a few places” Anaya explained.

“Alright, so where is your...” , “oh my sweet Jesus, he is over there, let’s go now” Anaya almost shouted interrupting Emily as her grip tighter on Emily’s arm.

They made their way to the where the librarian sat and stood in front of the table, his head which was slightly bent, raised to look at the girls in front of him.

His eyes lingered more on Emily as he flashed her a smile, “can I help you with anything ladies?”

Emily just stared at him in surprise, oh lord, she thought Anaya was exaggerating but damn, he was one fine man, his grey eyes piercing into hers were enough to send shivers down her spine.

“..we are looking for a physics textbook” Emily immediately said clearing her throat after noticing how long they had been looking at the man.

“Okay, it is over there” He stretched his well toned arm towards one of the shelves.

“Alright thank you” Emily replied and pulled Anaya away from there, feeling completely embarrassed for looking at the man so shamelessly, at least she was able to recollect her composure but Anaya was totally lost. Her thoughts went back to the name tag she saw on the librarian’s shirt. ‘Lucian Rogers’.
