LUCIANO’S REVENGE

Eerie silence

Emily woke up and did her usual routine, wearing a knee length dress with a denim jacket over the dress and a pair of white snickers, she grabbed her bag and walked out of her dorm closing the door behind her.

With a sigh, she placed a knock on Anaya’s door but the girl did not answer. She tried again before turning the knob and the door opened. Emily walked into the room just to see Anaya sleeping comfortably on her pink bed, she wrapped herself with the covers as if it was winter period, this girl really did not know she was in school.

“Stand up you lazy bones, it’s a few minutes to eight. You are going to be late for class” Emily said pulling the covers of Anaya’s body.

“Mmmm...let me sleep a little bit more Em” Anaya murmured as she turned to make herself more comfortable on the bed.

“If you don’t wake up now, I will pour a bucket of water over your head”. Emily frowned.

That was all it took for Anaya to jump out of the bed, her eyes wide opened. “I am up Em” She said yawning loudly.

“Good, now go get ready. You have ten minutes” Emily said with a smile on her face, she knew how Anaya hated getting wet, the girl dislike for water almost made her think she was a mermaid but that was like so absurd because mermaids didn’t exist.

“Alright Alright” Anaya said as she began to pull her night dress over her head.

“What the hell are you doing? I really hope you don’t plan on undressing in front of me” Emily said with Aiden eyes.

“Well, what is wrong with you? I am just undressing and besides we are both girls” Anaya said with a raised brow.

“I know we are both girls but you can always change in the bathroom.” Emily explained.

“Whatever weirdo” She said making her way to the bathroom, “And yeah, you need to return that physics textbook to the library. We really do not want to get into trouble” Anaya added.

“No way Anaya, why don’t you return it yourself? You know I do not like going to library” Emily complained.

“Girl, what is wrong with you? I am giving you the chance to see Mr handsome and you are refusing” Anaya said.

“Whatever, I will be back in a few minutes” Emily rolled her eyes and walked out of the room with the physics textbook in her hand.

She made her way to the library which was quite less noisy because most of the students were still in their dorms.

Opening the door she walked into the library and to her surprise there was no one in the library, Emily thanked her lucky star.

She walked over to the shelf to place the book but was surprised that the shelf had been moved up, higher than it was yesterday.’

“Oh no” Emily sighed, looking at the top shelf she knew her short self would never be able to reach there, she thought of placing the book in a random shelf but she quickly dismissed that thought.

Looking around to see no one around, she stood on her toes as she tried to push the book into the shelf but it was merely just touching the shelf.

She sighed in frustration, just when she was about to give up, she felt a presence behind her and a hand over hers as the person easily placed the book on the shelf.

She knew it was a man behind her because of the strong cologne which the man wore, strong but yet very alluring.

“You should have waited for me to arrive” His deep voice resonated in her ears causing her to shiver.

Swallowing the lump in her throat, she slowly turned around. Her face facing his chest before she titled her head to look at his handsome face. His deep Grey eyes bored into hers making her feel little.

The man was close to her that she could feel his breath on her shoulders, Damn everything about the man smelt nice.

“Can you please move back?” Emily said, proud of her voice not breaking out.

“Sorry” He mouthed before taking a step backwards giving her space to breath normally.

“Thank you” She said without looking in his eyes as she hurried out of the library.

“What is your name?” She heard him ask making her stop in her steps.

“Emily Salvador” She answered turning to look at him.

“Emily, you dropped your pin” Lucian said, her name rolling out of his tongue like sweet wine.

“Oh thank you” Emily hurried back to him to collect it because she was getting suffocated staying in the same room with this man.

“You are welcome” He said pushing the pin in her hair before he walked out of her sight to move to the other shelf.

Emily swallowed the lump in her throat before walking out of the library to breath normally. What the hell was wrong with her? Why was her heart palpating so fast because of this man? It was something that never happened before. She said to herself.

Taking in deep breaths, she let out a sigh and made her way back to the dorm.

Luciano’s eyes was fixed on the door still looking at the girl who was no longer in the room, his jaw tickled, it was really annoying how the atmosphere changed as she walked into the room, he could not help but loosen the tie which was around his neck.

A curse almost slipping from his lips but he held it back, he really needed to control his anger. One would look at him from the outside as calm but inside, he was raging with fire almost ready to burn anything and anyone that came in his way.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening his eyes again which thankfully calmed his nerves, he had a plan and he needed to work with it he reminded himself.
