Chapter 2: His Curiosity

"Are you sure, everything is good?" she asked. Her moms usually have a great feeling of sensing any suspicious activity. That is why he suddenly tilted his head just not to look at hers.
"Yes! Mom," he quietly answered.
After a long silence between them, his Mom suddenly laughed. She must be joking about him again.
"Hey! I want you to enjoy life. Visit us and bring your girlfriend," she said with a wide smile on her face.
But before she left she took her last glance in his closet where Veronica was placed. He knew that his mother already knew that he was hiding a woman so she smiled at him even more.
"I love you, all I want to see my son happy too," his Mom said then kiss him as she always does.
When his mother left, he breathed a sigh of relief. He just about to walk towards the closet when Veronica opened it and exposed her annoyed face.
"My God! What the heck are you doing? After you fu–"
"Hey! Watch your mouth!"
"I can say whatever I want to say! You trapped me in your closet and you have the guts to tell me what to say?" she almost shouted at his face.
He might not have the courage to face people but he doesn't let anyone shouted at him. He grabs her arm and yelled at her, "Don't ever shout at me!"
Veronica still the dominant woman she wanted to portray. "I'm sorry, I just–"
"Leave!" he said abruptly while Veronica is still talking. He doesn't want a woman in his life who will dominate him and dictate what he will do.
He saw in her face that she wants to say something but she shut her mouth and start walking towards the door. But before she leaves, she looked at him and smiled. "See you again next time," she said like there's nothing happened.
He slowly sat up in his bed after Veronica left. He feels exhausted after all that happened. When he remembered Samantha he opened his laptop and saw again her beautiful face that made him smiled.
He lay down and looked at the ceiling. Only now he did feel admiration for a woman. All women who have s*x and date sometimes only have consensual s*x between them hence nothing deeper than that.
He quickly lay down again facing his laptop and re-examined her hacked account. Until he sees some pictures of her with Raymond Robinson, his business competitor. He could not help but find out about Sam's connection to the Robinson. There he found out that her company, Davis Pharma Supply was heavily indebted to Robinson. That's a red flag for him for Sam's sudden appearance in his office.
Theo could not help but re-examine her account thoroughly. It intensified his suspicion when he remembered how he met her. She came to his office with a business proposal. He was very intrigued by her sudden appearance and looking at her photos made him dig deeper into her account.
He was too focused on researching Samantha's account when her phone suddenly rang. He frowned when he saw the woman he was thinking of was on the line.
He reluctantly picked up his phone and answered. "Hello, Mr. Demetrio on the line. How may I help you?" he answered in a monotone as the caller calling from his business number.
The woman's laughed when she hears his voice. "That's too formal, Theo," she giggled. "I called to find out your answer to the proposal I gave you?" she asked confidently.
It was a long time before he could answer. Maybe he was too surprised by her call or he just excited to talk to her?
"Still there?" she asked.
Theo takes a deep sighed before answering her. "Can we talk personally?"
"Sure? Where?" she gushed. He heard a very exciting voice from her. Part of him was excited too to see her again but there was something nagged at the back of his mind regarding Sam's role in entering his company.
"Hello?" she stammered with a hesitant tone.
He immediately worried about her. He never feels that kind of feeling towards anybody. "Are you alright?" he murmured.
"Yeah," Sam's reassured she's fine.
Theo shook his head as he realizes what he did. He did not want Sam to think that he was affected by her presence. "Okay, my secretary will call you regarding our meeting. I will see my schedule, bye!" he replied and then quickly turn off the calls.
He doesn't want to be rude but he starts to be uneasy. He felt the tension in him. "Theo, she's just an ordinary woman. Nothing special," he said, consoling himself.
He stood up and walked towards the bathroom. With all that happened, he badly needed a bath. He pull-off his cloth until he became naked but before he hops into the shower he hears his bell.
"Well, that's my food I guess," he mumbled as he grabs his robe.
He never bothers to peek in the peephole. He opens the door and saw a sexy lady standing at his doorstep.
"Yes, how may I help you?" he asked as he was busy fixing his robe.
"Nothing, I just came to say hi!" the lady chuckled.
He quickly saw the woman's face, only then he just realized that the woman who stood next to him was no other than Samantha Davis.
"Sam?!" he almost yelled to his surprised.
"Yes!" she giggled.
Suddenly, a second of silence took over their excitement. When Theo regains his mind to what is going on he immediately frowned and looked intensely at Sam's face.
"What are you doing here?" he shrieked.
Sam smiles and walks toward him. "Hey, relax! I told you I just pass by, can I come in?" she asked, wanting to enter his place.
His mind telling him not to let her but his body moves differently. "Come in, tell me what makes you decide to pass by in my place?" he asked. At the back of his mind, he knows Sam's motive. He won't let her or any of the Robinson overthrow him.
"Well, I just want to know more about you," she answered with her stammering voice which indicates she is lying.
Theo laughed sarcastically, "Are you sure?"
Sam doesn't know that the nerdy billionaire, Theophile Demetrio was hot and sexy. He's the total opposite of the guy whom he visited a week ago into his office.
"Are you going to answers me or you just going to stares at me?" he asked. She looked embarrassed by what he said causing her to catch her off guard.
