I’m thankful for so much in this year , I’m thankful for life , I’m thankful for my new found friends and readers and I’m also thankful for the love that I have been shown this past months . I’m thankful for where I am a writer , I’m thankful that I’m one way or another I have made you smile. I’m thankful that some of us had a not so good year but we are still holding on.

Cold night out, beautiful view ahead and some distance laughter of some city girls below, laughing at something that might not even be so funny, nights in New York City were always fun, but not tonight, it doesn’t feel well tonight.
Lisa Wells sitting on her balcony with a cup of hot chocolate to calm down her nerves, it’s been a week , she is being trying to call her ex boyfriend, to at least ask him what she did wrong to get all the silent treatments. “How can he break up with me via a phone text” she sighed again for the hundredth time. “Maybe it’s a mistake , I have to talk to him first. There has to be an explanation for this disappointing behavior “
Hope Tanis, her companion and best friend, away for a vacation with work colleagues, called her phone like ten times already, she wasn’t ready to pick her calls because she was ashamed and probably going to get the ‘I told you so’ lectures.
“Oh my head is banging, I just need to get some sleep, it’s going to be better tomorrow, it has to be, he might just be busy, he might have had a very long week, tomorrow is weekend. I’m going to wait till tomorrow, it has to be a better day”
She drops her remaining cup of hot chocolate on the kitchen counter, then walks lazily back to her bedroom, drained of all energy. “I’m just going to sleep a bit, it will be okay in the morning “ she kept telling herself. She tucked herself in, switched off the wall light and in seconds she slept off...
She woke up to the hardest banging on her door and a blazing light through her windows the next morning “oh I didn’t close the windows “ she tried to sleep back but the door kept banging. “Oh my gosh!!! Who can that be ??!? “ and then “omg babe? Is that you?” She quickly jumped off of her bed almost flying towards the door.
“Hope Tanis!! What are you doing here? Why are you here?”
“Would you please let me in first Lisa, what’s wrong with you babes? Been trying to reach you “ as her friend tries to find her way through the door.
“I’m sorry hun, I just couldn’t talk to you on the phone. Rowan broke up with me! “ Lisa starts to cry all over again. “He broke up with through a text!”
“That son of a b***h!!!! I knew he was no good”
“But he loved me! I loved him too “ Lisa started sobbing again.
“To be honest, I knew it was going to end like this. He was showing signs, but you were too blind in love to see it. Has he called you at all? Has he tried to reach you”
“No babes, he hasn’t. I have called him a lot, but he won’t pick, but I know this is all a misunderstanding, why are you here anyways? Vacation was no fun?”
“Oh my! I almost forgot what I came for” her friend grinning from ear to ear “park your bags we are going on a paid vacation to Hawaii, And seeing the state you are in, I think you need it more than anything “
“No babes, I don’t want to go anywhere”
“But why not?? You don’t need anything at all , just enjoy yourself , clear your mind and give yourself a break on the whole busy New York life and your heartbreak, go give yourself some pampering, no man is worth your sadness and you can’t put any hold on your life, get out there and move on”
“He might call me , he might visit me, I have to be home when he does”
“No my girl, you don’t have to be home or anything, if he would reach out, he would have done that over the past week “ her friend said what she has been afraid to think about.
“Alright! I’m done with him!! Let him go to hell !! Let me be honest with you Hope, Rowan cheated on me and he is angry with me for finding out” she exhaled
“WHAT!!!”
“Yes he did, I confirmed it while he was here, I saw his chats with a girl clearly, she wasn’t even as beautiful as I am, they even shared nudes!, I was hoping he would realize his mistake and reach out to me but he didn’t, instead he broke up with me! Via text message!! Now I’m furious “
“I’m going to get you a man! You need to blow up some steam” Her friend said.
“Haha maybe that’s just what I need” she laughed for the first time in two weeks
“Im glad that made you laugh, but I’m not joking, I am going to get you a man!”...
