Lisa turned around to see Daniel looking at her with delight.
"Daniel, what are you doing here?"
Lisa was surprised to see Daniel at the party. She hadn't expected him to be invited.
Daniel pointed to a guitar in the corner.
"I'm here performing with the band," he said, his eyes filled with affection. "And you?"
Lisa glanced back into the hall, where there was no sign of August, only soft music flowing in the air.
"I've finished my work here. I'm leaving tomorrow, so I'm just taking a last look around."
Sensing Lisa's reluctance to leave, Daniel changed the topic.
"I'm so glad to see you again, Lisa."
Lisa smiled back at him, and they chatted on the balcony like old friends.
Soon, Daniel checked the time and said apologetically, "I have to go on stage now. See you later."
