chapter 11

piper.

the next morning I woke up to my alarm. I turned it off trying not to wake neal as I carefully got out of bed, I'm sure he's exhausted.

I check in on sadie who is still sound asleep and I make myself a cup of coffee before heading to into my bathroom to shower and get ready. I'm excited for today, shopping with my mom, sadie and addie for the birthday and of course we always do lunch. in the shower I let the warm water wash over my sore body and the thoughts of last night bring a smile to my face.

once out I throw my hair in a towel and throw on my robe as I sit on the counter to do my make up I look over myself, I don't look as tired, for some reason I feel pretty. so today I do a little extra as I'm doing my mascara neal walks in showing off his beautiful body in just his boxers, long hair every where rubbing his eyes as he leans against the door frame I smile at him in the mirror " morning handsome"

he makes his way in and places his hands on either side of me leaning his head on my shoulder

" good morning beautiful but why are you up and getting dolled up so early?"

I giggle " I'm going shopping with sadie, my mom and addie today for sadie birthday"

he leans his head so he's looking at me in the mirror

" ah so this is why she asked for a bike" he chuckles

" yeah but don't worry about it" I say waving my hand. he kisses my neck gently

" I'll be getting pea a bike" he replies and I smile as my heart warms

" mind if I sneak in for a cup of coffee?"

" no go ahead"

he kisses my head and makes his way out. I finish up my make up and pull my hair down I decide to leave it curly and pull half of it up.

as I'm finishing up neal comes back and leans against the door frame drinking his coffee just watching, I move past him and grab my dark green lose fitting dress and my underwear. as I take off my robe and get dressed I can feel his eyes on me, the dress stops a little before my knees so I don't see anything wrong with it I look it over in my body mirror I make my way back to the bathroom and find my ear rings and out them in the whole time his eyes never leave me but he doesn't say anything I turn around and raise an eyebrow looking at him, waiting for him to tell me to change or that I look stupid. I've heard it all before but to my surprise he just walks over peeks my light glossed lips and smiles as he softly rubs my check " absolutely stunning kitten" I blush definitely not used to that so I have no idea what to say " uh thanks" I whisper out. then I hear sadie over the monitor and he finishes up his coffee and raises a brow at me " want me to sneak out?" he ask and I giggle feeling like a teen

" no you can join us for breakfast if you'd like"

I look down and my eyes go wide. he has a boner!! but I have urgent done anything I blush and he smirks at me

" but you'll need pants"

he chuckles " of course kitten" he kisses me softly and turns to get his clothes on.

I make my way to sadie room and she's sitting in her bed smiling

" good morning sunshine!"

" mama" she throws her hands up

I take her in my arms and kiss her then I start to get her changed out of her PJs

" so whose ready to go shopping with granny and auntie?"

she gets excited " sadie!" she says

and I laugh

" alright they should be here soon first breakfast, okay?"

she nods her little head and I out her on my hip

" I also have a surprise in the kitchen"

her eyes go wide

when I woke up piper wasn't in the bed but I saw the light in the bathroom so I made my way there. God she's so beautiful. after we say our mornings I go to get me some coffee she worse me out last night.

I watch her as she finishes getting ready and I can't take my eyes off of her, I'm not sure how I got so lucky but I really need to find a way to show her how much she means to me. when she turns around she looks at me I'm not really sure what she was expecting but when I kissed her and told her how great she looked I could tell by her reply she wasn't really convinced.

then we head little pea and she actually asked me to join them for breakfast. I'm not sure why she was so surprised I had a boner, I mean the girl is absolutely stunning and in such a way that she doesn't even notice.

while I getting my clothes on I can hear the two of them over the monitor and it brings the biggest smile to my face the woman is absolutely a great mother. I make my way to the kitchen so pea doesn't find me in her mom's rooms and I start some eggs and another cup of coffee.

" daddy!" I hear from behind me and I turn from the stove and see a happy pea on her mamas hip. I take her from Piper and kiss her small little cheek " good morning pea!" she giggles as my beard tickles her and she runs her hands through it. piper walks over to deal with breakfast

" no you sit down I've got this"

" you've got sadie" she replies in a duh tone

I kiss her forehead and hand her the cup of coffee

" go sit I've got this" she slowly nods her head as she takes the cup and take a seat at the bar.

" do you like my dress?" sadie asks I look at it I'm assuming it's some princess

" oh yes you look beautiful!"

she smiles brightly in one arm as I stir the eggs with the other

" so are you having a princess party?"

she nods her head excited

" are you coming?" she asks and I look over at piper who has wide eyes

" I'll have to talk to mama about that"

she accepts this answer and wants down and she soon runs off so I finish up the eggs and make everyone a plate

" you don't have to come it's Saturday at 12 at my parents and I completely understand.."

I cut her off

" do you want me there?"

she slowly nods

" I think sadie would enjoy it." she says

I nod " then I'll be there

she sighs and I lean against the bar close to her

" what is it?" I ask

she shakes her head

" my parents want to meet you."

I nod

" are you worried about what they will think of me and my life?"

she shakes her head

" no not at all. as long as I'm happy they are I just don't want you doing anything you don't want to" I gently kiss her lips

" I'm all in baby girl. I would love to meet them"

she blushes

" what are we gonna do about her calling you dad?' she quietly whispers looking down messing with the cup

" as long as it doesn't bother me I'm honored for her to call me dad babygirl but she's your daughter it's not my place to have a say"

her eyes go wide with confusion

" I just. uh f**k! I don't know she hasn't ever had one so I have no idea where she got the idea and I haven't told her anything like that you have to believe me"

I chuckle at her babbling

" piper really I'm honored and I just hope to live up to the name" I kiss her gently but I can tell she's still unsure

" pea breakfast" I say and she comes running in I help her in her seat and I pass them both some food and I take a seat next to piper.

as I'm cleaning up the mess after forcing piper to let me she goes to find her shoes

and sadie comes running in my back is to her

" daddy granny is here!" I turn and find a older version of piper standing next to sadie. her eyes are wide with questions

" sadie go check on mama" is all she says and she runs off. I dry my hands and stick one out to her " hello ma'am I'm neal yates"

she takes it " I'm Sherry pipers mama" I nod

" it's really nice to meet you" I say and she smiles

" you as well. my daughter hasn't said much"

I chuckle " yeah she's stubborn" this makes her laugh I rub the back of my neck ' I just want you to know I haven't told sadie to call me dad"

she waves her hand

" the girl is smart she knows more than she lets on no worries just don't go breaking my babies heart and you will be fine in my book"

I breathe a sigh of relief

" I'm still just trying to prove I'm good enough to be by her side "

this makes her smile brightly and piper and sadie walk walk back in

" hey mama I didn't know you were meeting me here" she says looking at me nervous

her mom just waves her hand again

" just excited for our girls day is all it's been to long" piper just nods

" alright ladies kitchen is clean so I'm gonna head out. y'all be safe and have fun"

I say taking my leave

" oh we definitely will" her mom says laughing I shake hand again then I bend down to pea

" you have fun pea and pick out the best princess party things" she hugs me tightly

as I kiss her head I then pull my wallet out and try handing piper my black card but she just shakes her head

" I've got it covered really" she says

I take her hand and place it in it kissing it then I kiss her lips softly " I know you do but take it to make me happy." I say softly and she just nods her head with big eyes I see her mom watching us from the corner of my eye

" I know she's stubborn but make sure she at least buys you guys lunch please mrs sherry" I say never looking away from Piper she looks like she may cry and I'm sure I see her mom wipe her eyes she clears her throat

" I'll see what I can do" is all she says before taking sadie to the living room

I pull piper in for one more kiss.

" let me know when you make it home safe and have fun." I say

" i will and um thank you for you know everything" I just smile at her and make my way to the door.

I'm left standing in my kitchen holding his credit card what the hell is he thinking?! birthday's are expensive and I could go crazy. I'm brought from my thoughts when my mom places her hand on my shoulder " we should head out sadie is waiting" I nod and grab my bag placing his card in it. addie calls to let me know she will be meeting us at the party store. I'm lost in thought as my mom drives and sadie sings happily from the back seat. I clear my throat

" soo?" I question looking at my mom and she laughs

" sweetie you are glowing if you are happy you know I am"

she nods " so how old is he? any kids? what does he do?"

" um well he's 33, no kids and he runs the biker gang apparently they own a few businesses and do things with security" I look at her judging her reaction

" well he seems to really care for you and sadie" is all she says.

we hit a couple stores and have everything we need for decorating. I already have her gift hidden at home. so now we've just got to order the cake. we're in the bakery and my mom and sadie are sitting having a giant cookie while addie and I look over the cake book.

" so he meet your mom?" she whispers

we laugh

we head towards my house when my phone chimes.

I find myself sitting in my car outside of the clubhouse. in nothing but this grey and purple outfit and a large button up coat to hide it wondering how addie talked me into this. " I know son but we will get back in time for the party" I just nod " she invited you and maddy?" I question and he laughs " yeah seems our girls are getting along think they have lunch plans tomorrow or something he shrugs and this makes me smile maddy means alot to me so it makes me happy they are getting along.

when we walk back into the club the guys all whistle and maddy sends me a playful wink, I'm sure they heard most if what went on in my office. I just shake my head and head to gather my things to head out.

" hey blade" I call out before I make it to far

" yeah?"

" I need your help I want to get her something but I have no idea where to start"

maddy speaks up

" I'll help!"
