I hadn't been physically inside the tree fort in ages, we usually just held our meetings outside of it, or in the nearby clearing. The same clearing that my sister had ambushed us at with her little minion. I prayed that Alaric wasn't her fated twin flame, I hoped beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was just Willa acting out because she hadn’t got her way about something.
The grounded tree fort looked small from the outside, it had been made for us as children. Even though we had fixed it up over the years as we grew. The last update we had made was to make the roof taller so we would be able to move around easier. It came in handy when any of the guys had come out here with us.
