July 3. I slept for the longest time. And Dr. Peter Morgan repaired my left arm. I visited a number of places while I slept: Narnia, Hogwarts, Stockton County in Oklahoma, Wonderland, Disneyland, Mt. Rushmore, Sears Tower, Lake Erie, and a gay bar called Pink where naked and chiseled men hung on long silk fabric that extended down from the bar’s ceiling and performed acrobatics. I slept for over sixteen hours, and then I woke up thirsty, with a dry mouth, and I found the strength to whisper, “Brayden.” Thereafter, a nurse fed me water and a blue pill for some of my pain. He said down to me, “Ian, you’re in good hands. I’m here to take care of you.” The hospital room was a beige hue with windows to the far left, a flat-screen at my feet, which hung down from the ceiling, and two chairs. G
