Chapter 30: Treasure Hunt
I got home from TBP, ended up at bungalow three, decided to take a quick shower, and then had a cocktail—vodka, Sprite, ice, and slivers of orange and lemon. At first, I didn’t notice the piece of notebook paper taped to the sliding glass doors in the kitchen, walked over to it, and read Brayden’s block-style letters: Treasure Hunt.
Beneath the title were instructions, which I read:
1. 20 feet straight off patio, dig 6 inches.
2. 15 feet to the right, dig 4 inches.
3. 30 feet towards Gulf, dig 12 inches.
4. 7 feet to the left.
5. 5 feet to the left.
6. 3 feet towards bungalow, dig 18 inches.
7. X marks the spot.
