Archer continued to go about his work, but he was withdrawn from the others, including Kurt and his family, lost in an abyss of grief from losing such a young boy. Kurt went to his cabin a few days before they were due to dock, knocking hesitantly on the door before pushing it open when he got no reply. ‘Alpha’ he said quietly, looking down the corridor to make sure that no-one was within ear shot, ‘I know this is hard, but we need to start making a plan of what we will do when we reach port.’ Archer growled into his pillow, ‘stop calling me Alpha, I’m not your god damn Alpha’ Kurt crossed his arms, as he leaned against the doorframe, ‘you are my Alpha, we trust you to lead us’ he replied firmly.
