10. The Nymph is Down Louis Just like every night, I wake up just to take his shoes off. I rub the sleep off my eyes as I step out of my room. It has become a habit of mine to wake up to take off his shoes from wherever she went. I don’t ask him where he has been to because it’s his life. It’s nice that my apartment is comfortable enough for him to return to and a part of me still can’t believe he’s staying here. Every night is my p*****t for what he has been doing here. I don’t want to admit it, but it does feel better with him here. The dark hallway stretches towards the living room where some moonlight is streaming in, but I don’t see him. I pause.
