Walking around this place doesn't scream 'Hidden Kingdom". It's a normal and idyllic even, small town with a close knit community where everyone knows each other and they all get up in their neighbour's business. Plenty of those around the world, right?
As we walk to where I can only assume is going to be Andy's childhood home, we pass loads of narrow streets that are bustling with people going about their day. They smell like wolves, vampires, dragons, like the sea and like nothing, all at the same time. I must admit that the feeling is refreshing, seeing all these subspecies and hybrids in the same place, peacefully sharing it, living their lives free to be what they want and love who their heart desires.
Mind you, we are the novelty here, the outsiders, so we get stared at, sometimes
