After tailing Christine when she run past me visibly upset about something, I found her at the beach, floating quietly in the water. I just stood off and watched, making sure she didn't drown or anything. She stayed in the water till it got dark and finally came out.
Christine sat by the beach tables quietly sobbing. It broke my heart to see her like that and as much as I would have liked to ran to her I kept my distance to make sure she was okay.
I crept up behind a palm tree as I kept my eyes on her.
"I know you're there, Jake." Christine said, wiping her face.
"How did you know I was there?" I said as I came out of my hiding spot.
"I can smell you from a mile a far. You're still wearing the same cologne I got you for our anniversary."
"Still have the best nose." I responded
