What disturbed me was the fact that Theo had actually signed this document, without making a fuss. Had he even read it? BELLA I walked into my father’s office, intent on having another word with him. I had tossed and turned all night, as Theo had called to tell me he was leaving the state, and wasn’t coming back until three days later. I wasn’t going to lie to myself. I did feel something for him. But I had decided not to put a label on it yet. Things were already so complicated between us, especially after the night we spent together.
