Quick Drink We called into the pub after a night of overtime. It had been a grueling week. I was exhausted and Fred and I thought we’d just have one or two drinks and then go. We needed to unwind. The boss had been cranky thinking we weren’t going to make our deadline, but we did so all that stress coming off him was for nothing. It was the sort of pub business people attended after work. Down an alleyway in the city, squashed between high-rise office buildings, a good crowd with a good vibe.
