We’d met here almost two years ago on a school camp. We were both teachers and even though our respective schools were within six miles of each other our paths had never crossed. Once I laid eyes on her I knew I had to have her, but would she be interested? It had been a long day. The bus trip up had been exhausting and the pupils were overtired having endured a trail ride through the woods and now the chore of setting up camp. They weren’t a bad bunch but when you’re a teacher you had to have control at all times. Checking each tent quietly I made my rounds and to my utter delight most were sleeping peacefully. The fresh air, exercise and a full day of activities left this lot fatigued which was what I’d hoped for. I sat in front of the campfire a little longer enjoying the solitude. I
