Strange Goings-On at the Manor
In time, Edward became accustomed to his place in the scheme of things in the bizarre arrangements that existed on that remote country estate. He was a healthy and eager young lad, and in his s****l prime but he soon learned, as a result of Amanda’s “contests,” that he lacked the endurance of the plodding, hard-working Ned, nor did he have the quick, miraculous recovery of the always-ready country boy, Willie.
