Chapter Five ~ I think I am the lucky one!

Caelan POV

            Crystal and I have had a great start to the next twenty-five years of our lives. All the love we received today was a bit overwhelming for her and very surprising for me. I wasn’t expecting to meet any of our kind on this trip but knowing that the pack nearby is led by the son of an Alpha my father knows, has made this trip better than I could have planned for. Most Alpha’s are territorial and resistant to an Alpha in their territory without prior approval, but Alpha Blackstone is not only welcoming but kind. I couldn’t believe he sent a driver to provide us transportation but even more that he sent us John Baptiste as a wedding anniversary gift to paint our first formal portrait. We just finished our meeting with him, and I am excited he agreed to paint two portraits of us. I’m mostly excited about our portrait in wolf form. We still have the picture taken the night Crystal shifted the first time but that was twenty-eight years ago. Anastasia has grown so much since then and Cooper is much bigger also.

            “Hey Love, what do you think of this dress for dinner tomorrow night with Jameson Blackstone?” Crystal asked me as she stepped out the little boutique dressing room.

            I looked up at her and smiled. She was wearing a beautiful off the shoulder lavender floor length dress not too formal but more than casual. It had pockets which I think she loved the most.

            “You’re beautiful baby. I think it looks amazing on you and it’s your favorite color. Do you want it?” I asked her and she smiled biting her lower lip and nodded her head.

            “I want to look at some sandals and jewelry, is that okay?” She asked shyly and I couldn’t help but smile at her.

            “Crystal May-Parks, my wife, my queen, the love of my life, my world. You can have this whole store if that is what would make you happy. After all these years, you still ask permission to spend what rightfully belongs to you.” I said standing to my feet and walking closer to her. She smiled and placed her hand on my cheek as I stepped in front of her.

            “It’s never really mattered to me. I’ve only always wanted you. I know over the years my things and your things have become more of ours together, but we have five beautiful children to think about and I will never take from them or you for my own selfish reasons.” She said in a sincere tone with a smile on her face.

            “Babe, you don’t have a selfish bone in your body. You are always looking out for others so it’s my job to look out for you. You can have whatever you want times ten if you like.” I said to her before wrapping my arms around her and pulling her closer to me to kiss her passionately.

            In the middle of the kiss, Crystal’s face time ringtone came through my ears, and I released the kiss so she could answer her phone. When she pulled her phone out the face time screen showed a photo of her mom. She slid the answer button and before she could say hello, Carla’s voice sounded in my ears.

            “Happy Anniversary my loves.” Carla said and Crystal smiled into the phone.

            “Thanks mom!” Crystal said

            “Where are you honey? Where’s Caelan?” Carla asked with a bit of concern in her voice.

            “He’s here mom, we are at a little boutique in Montego Bay, Jamaica.” Crystal said then walked over to me so I could be in the view of her phone.

            “Thank you, mom, how are you and Joel doing?” I asked with a smile.

            “We are doing good. We were planning to go to Silver Moon tomorrow to see you two. When will you two be back?” Carla asked me and I smiled.

            “Not until early Friday morning but you can go see the kids, I’m sure they will love to see their grandma. Amir is always talking about the shopping trip you ladies did in Washington.” I said to Carla, and she smiled.

            “Well, when you put it that way, I guess I’m overdue for some time with my princesses. Are they with your parents or with the Beta’s?” Carla asked and I shook my head.

            “They are with Christopher, but the Beta’s are not too far. They are all in the pack house.” I said to her, and she nodded.

            “Okay, I will go tomorrow and see my babies. You two enjoy the rest of your day. I love you both. Happy Anniversary!” Carla said with a smile.

            “Thanks mom, we love you too. Give dad sugar kisses for me.” Crystal said smiling brightly before ending the facetime call.

            Crystal looked at a few pairs of sandals and she liked them all, so we purchased all of them. She found a couple necklace and earrings sets to go with the three dresses she got today, and we purchased them as well. I found a pair of swim trunks and some water shoes for myself, and Crystal insisted on me getting two neck ties to go with the shirts I brought with me. We had the shops send all our purchases to our room and instead of taking the shuttle back to the resort side we walked along the beach. It was 8:00 pm when we arrived back at the resort.

            We both quickly took a shower and got dress for our dinner reservations at the steakhouse on the grounds. At 8:55 pm we walked out of our suite and down to the restaurant, when we arrived the Maître D escorted us to our table in a private corner. Jordan did exactly as I asked and a few minutes after we took our seats, the chef came over to our table with two glasses of Champagne with a strawberry floating in both, and the evening’s dinner menu, apparently the menu is changed every night to give the guest staying a variety of delectable dinner choices.

          “Good evening Mr. & Mrs. Parks, I’m chef Cory Rhines and here is tonight’s menu. I was informed that you two requested a meeting with me. I was also informed that you are celebrating your Silver Wedding Anniversary this evening, so I also brought you two a glass of Champagne. Happy Anniversary.” Chef Cory said with a smile and we both smiled back.

            “Hello Chef, thank you for coming out and meeting with us and thank you for the Champagne. Are your options this evening served in three or four courses?” Crystal asked with a smile, and I knew my baby was about to order everything on the menu.

            “Well Mrs. Parks, we serve five courses. First you will be given the house hors d'oeuvre followed by an appetizer of your choice, then soup and/or salad followed by your main course and dessert.” Chef Cory said and Crystal’s eyes grew wide in shock.

            I looked at the chef’s specials for tonight and noticed there was only two main course options. The first option is New York Steak cooked Jerked style with a Spicy Caribbean Mango topping, Caribbean-style Pilaf Rice, and Broccoli and Carrot blend. The second option is Jerk Shrimp Skewers with a Spicy Caribbean Mango over a bed of Jamaican Rice and Peas, and Jamaican Cabbage. They were both perfect options, so I ordered the Steak dish for my love and the Shrimp dish for myself. She chose the Jamaican Spinach Soup and I decided to go with the Jamaican Curried Shrimp & Mango Soup. We also had Banana Fritters and Hot Pepper Shrimp appetizers and Chocolate Cake for dessert.

            Everything tasted great and we were both full and satisfied. After dinner we went to the main dining room of the restaurant and danced to the live entertainment until the restaurant was about to close. After we left the restaurant, we headed back to our suite. Crystal was tired but she didn’t want to admit it, so I ran her a warm bath but before I could get her in the tub, she was on the bed asleep lightly snoring. I smiled at the sight of her then walked back into the bathroom to unplug the tub and drain the water. Then I returned to the bedroom and gently removed my wife’s clothes and shoes. She was so exhausted she didn’t stir. Once she was fully undressed except for her underclothes, I removed my clothes and climbed into bed with her and pulled her body close to mines before closing my eyes and falling asleep.

            It was 8:45 am the next morning when I woke up to a text message from John Baptiste confirming our photo sitting tonight and a message from Alpha Blackstone letting us know that Jahir would be here to get us at 6:00 pm. His message said the pack house was thirty minutes from the city center and approximate an hour and a half from our resort. Crystal was still asleep, and I loved seeing her getting some much-needed rest. I quietly slid out of bed and walked into the sitting room and picked up the suite phone to request Jordan or Marcel’s assistance. Ten minutes after my call, Marcel knocked on the door, I opened it and invited him into the suite. I wanted to have breakfast with Crystal in the suite this morning and I wanted two new resort robes brought in with a bottle of Stella Rosa Black Wine for our spa service this afternoon. I gave Marcel my wish list and asked if he could have breakfast brought up in the next half hour. I told him. To make sure there is a blueberry muffin and bowl of grapes included because those were still Crystal’s favorite breakfast items. Jessica brought in breakfast just before Crystal woke up.

            “Hey gorgeous, I wish I could let you sleep a little longer, but breakfast just arrived, and the spa service team will be here in two hours to set-up for our in-suite appointment at 12:00 noon today.” I said in a sexy tone in her ear as I kissed and nibbled on her earlobe. She moaned and giggled then opened her eyes and planted her lips on mines.

            “Breakfast first?” I asked her before placing a kiss on her lips and she nodded.

            “Yes, but after I want a bath with my husband.” She said and I smiled.

            “Deal! Come on Jessica just dropped of breakfast I’m sure it’s still warm.” I said nibbling on her ear making her moan again.

            A few minutes later she climbed out of bed and walked into the bathroom and turned on the bath to get it started before brushing her teeth and washing her face. I walked back into the sitting room and saw that Jessica had finished setting up our breakfast and in the center of the table was a large bowl of grapes and two blueberry muffins. I’m not much of muffin eater but I think I may enjoy a muffin and grapes with my love today.

            “Mmmm something smell’s delicious, what did you order us for breakfast babe?” Crystal asked coming into the sitting room.

            “There are eggs, chicken fried steak, biscuits with gravy, and sliced mangoes. I made sure they sent up your favorite this morning also, so there is a large bowl of grapes and a couple blueberry muffins.” I said with a smile and pulled out a chair for her.

            Crystal walked over to the table and sat down in the chair with a big smile on her face, then she grabbed a hand full of grapes and popped one in her mouth then moaned in satisfaction. I shook my head at her and smirked.

            “Are they good, my love?” I asked her grabbing a handful of grapes and she glared at me.

            “They’re the best and I guess since it’s such a large bowl I can share with you.” She said with a playful attitude, and I chuckled.

            “I won’t eat them all just a couple handfuls.” I said to her with a smile.

            We finished breakfast approximately twenty minutes later then went to take our bath which turned into a quick love making session and when we were done, I picked Crystal up out of the tub and carried her to the bed and handed her the new robe I had requested. When I looked at her robe it had Crystal Parks sown into the front of it. I smiled showing her the small personalization then grabbed mines and put it on. Mines said Caelan Parks. A few seconds after we put on our robes, there was a light knock on the door. I looked at the clock and it is 11:45 am, I walked over to the door and opened it, letting in the spa service team. They immediately began setting up the massage tables and putting different supplies on the small end tables. I turned t look at Crystal but her back was turned towards me and I read the back of her Robe, it said Our Silver Anniversary with our wedding date.

            “Babe the back of the robes’ says Our Silver Anniversary with our wedding date.” I said with a bit of excitement in my tone, and she turned to face me then nodded.

            “Yes, I saw that on yours when you went to answer the door. Did you have them made this way?” She asked and I shook my head.

            “No, I only told Marcel that I wanted new robes to take home with us and to use during our spa service today.” I explained and her mouth formed an O shape.

            Four hours later the spa service team was cleaning and packing up everything. I have never had a professional massage, but I enjoyed it and now I understood why the ladies get them often. My body was loose and relaxed. I wanted to go back to sleep.

            “Mrs. Parks, there is no need to go down to the salon, Candace and Carlton will be up in thirty minutes to do your hair and make-up. Also, I hope you two like the personalization on your robes, Jordan, Jessica, and I wanted to give you two something special, so we asked the gift shop to personalized them.” Marcel said as he walked into the suite with a smile.

            “They’re perfect thank you.” Crystal said with a bright smile.

            “How was your spa service?” Marcel asked.

            “It was great actually; it was my first one but now I see why Crystal and the other ladies get them so often.” I said with a sheepish smile.

            True to Marcel’s words Candace and Carlton showed up thirty minutes later and set up their stations to do Crystal’s hair and make-up. It was 5:45 pm when Crystal stepped out of the bathroom dressed and ready for dinner with Alpha Blackstone. I was sitting on the bed putting my shoes on when she walked in with a small smile on her face and a small gift in her hand. She sat on the bed beside me and turned to me.

            “I bought this a few weeks ago but I forgot to give it to you. Carlton found it in my make-up case.” She said smiling then handed me the small box.

            I pulled the gift out and it was a beautiful silver pocket watch with a silver belt clip chain attached. On the face of it, was an engravement of an image of Crystal with all five of our children and on the back, it says, twenty-five years later and I think I am the lucky one. Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary, my Love. The kids and I love you very much! ~ Crystal, Christopher, Cyir, Amir, Christian, and Angel. It was perfect, I smiled and clipped it to my belt, before kissing my mark and grabbing her hand so we could head out to the car where Jahir was waiting to take us to dinner.
