I stumbled onto the soft bed and eyed him warily as he approached me. He was still dressed, a fact I loathed. I didn’t want to see him naked, but with me being so I felt the distance of power in us and the reminder of what I am. He stared at me. I couldn’t hold his gaze and looked away. There was something ancient in those emerald depths. Finished with his physical inspection his eyes were now getting their fill of me. “On your hands and knees, stick your ass out.” As always, I obeyed. I bunched the covers in my fist as I tried to steel my nerves. I wasn’t sure what he was going to plan, but I’d be prepared for pain. I always needed to prepare for that. Outside a lone wolf howled and the song gripped my heart. I had never experienced such a sorrowful sound that echoed off the stone walls
