The first that launched itself at me was the huge wolf that had knocked me out of the air. Penny screamed a warning and I dodged out of the way and hit the ground hard the dirt and stones digging into my palms. I pushed off and sprung back to my feet. I hadn’t expected that to go so well. Livius was chuckling as he shook his head at me. I hated that one.
“You can still change your mind. You don’t think you can hold off this many wolves do you?” He clucked his tongue at me. “Willow, you should know better. The others aren’t going to come out of the castle, I’ve set so very many fires for them all to stamp out. Such a pity they’ll never manage to get them all. Oh well, there are causalities when it comes to wars.”
