The magical lunch was heavy on my stomach as I stared at my empty plate. Maybe I had overdone it just a bit. I dreaded the upcoming moments but oh so desired them. I wanted nothing more than to see the pegasus again. Adrian stood off to the side waiting for me. I gulped as I got to my feet and did my best to hide my shaking.
“Ready?”
I nodded. I wanted to scream at him that I had never been more ready but Orion and Zoar were still both present. If I showed any enthusiasm at all who knew how I’d be punished. I had a bad feeling that my night would be the worst yet.
“Come along, stay close. We can’t be gone too long, just long enough to fulfill my obligation.”
I wilted at his words, not so much at the obligation part. I didn’t really care as much about that, but not being gone too long
