As Bay drove home his thoughts bounced from what had happened at the cabin, to Tonio, and then to Dirk. We did well with Acasta and his people. Got the information we wanted, plus whatever Tonio gets from the man we captured. And with no major injuries. He chuckled. “At least on our side.” Tonio and his bow. I swear he only uses it because he thinks it makes him look sexy. Which he is, damn it. He found he was humming, “I’m too sexy” and laughed out loud. It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t know he was, but he does and he uses it. Dirk on the other hand… Dirk puzzled him, and he wasn’t certain why. That he was young was a given. Bay knew that technically, in terms of elves versus humans, Dirk as a half-elf would still be considered an adolescent. And in some ways he acted as if he was.
