Xavier's POV I moved some in the chair I was in and stretched my aching muscles. The sun had already come up as I sat in the small emergency room waiting for some answers. I leaned forward and rested my head on the side of the bed. I took her hand in mine and brought it to my lips, kissing her fingers, and enjoying the flow of sparks that rushed through me from the small act of affection. One of the doctors told me that if she hadn't called me when she did, she would have died. Knowing that made me curious why she waited so long to call anyone. Closing my eyes and breathing deeply, I was glad that the doctors were able to save her life and now knowing she was alright, I finally felt like I could close my eyes for just a little while.
